Choir

A group photo of high school students in choir.

WELCOME TO CASTEEL CHOIR!

Here we will learn all types of vocal music including jazz, classical, Broadway, foreign language, folk, and pop.  Whether you have sung for years or are new to singing, there is a choir for you!  You will never be put on the spot to sing independently in front of others unless you want to.  We do have solo opportunities, but it is not required to ever sing alone.  Grades will be based mostly on effort and class participation as well as concert attendance.

To learn more about each choir and how to join, visit the auditions page.

All you need to know about choir this year can be found in the handbook linked below.

In our past, we've featured the following choirs:
  • Advanced Junior High Choir (Triple Threat)
  • Intermediate Mixed Choir (Forte)
  • Advanced Women's Choir (Dolce)
  • Concert Choir (Chorale)
  • Jazz Choir (Encore)
  • Men of 'Steel (Men's Choir club)

Mrs. Clausen's schedule:

0 hour: "Encore" (Jazz Choir) (HS)
1st hour:  "Dolce" (Advanced Women's Choir) (HS)
2nd hour: "Forte" (Intermediate Mixed Choir) (HS)
3rd hour: "Chorale" (Concert Choir) (HS)
4th hour: PREP *

*Mrs. Pearce teaches JH choirs during 4th and 6th periods in the choir room

I look forward to a wonderful year, creating awesome music together!
